Nona Woods
CHAFFEE - Nona Mae Woods, 73, formerly of Bell City, died July 12, 2003, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.
Born April 13, 1930, in Bell City, daughter of the late Josh and Bertha Mayberry Kneezle, she retired as a machine operator for Florsheim Shoe Co. in Chaffee. A member of Chaffee VFW Post 3127 Ladies Auxiliary, she was of the Baptist belief.
On Oct. 30, 1946, she married Evert Woods who preceded her in death on March 19, 1968.
Survivors include: two sons, Earl Woods of Morley and Gary Woods of South Carolina; one daughter, Pam Goehman of Delta; four sisters, Inis Stamper of Bell City, Fern Long of Cape Girardeau, Barbara Lewis of Puxico and Imogene Kneezle of Bloomfield; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
One brother and three sisters also preceded her in death.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Dan Brown will officiate.
Burial will follow in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
Pallbearers will be: Jamie Goehman, Jeramy Goehman, Ed Evans, Tim Nesler, Phil Thompson, James Goehman Jr. and David Woods.
