Kathryn Etienne

LILBOURN - Kathryn R. Etienne, 75, died July 13, 2003, at Beverly Healthcare in New Madrid.

Born Oct. 4, 1927, in Florence, Ala., daughter of the late William T. and Mary Vernon Davis, she was a retail clerk and member of the Sikeston Women's Bowling League.

On May 15, 1946, in Caruthersville, she married Leonard E. Etienne who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: four daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Dennis Watkins of Gilbertsville, Ky., Deborah and David Balling of Memphis, Tenn., Mary Jane and Danny Roberts of Dexter and Jo and David Crouthers of Catron; two sisters, Edith Fields of South Haven, Mich., and Georgia Minton of Baldwin, Mich.; one brother, Dalton Davis of Benton Harbor, Mich.; and eight grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by one son, Larry Etienne; one sister, Eva Nell Shelton; and one grandson, Brian Robinson.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, where a rosary recitation is scheduled for 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Madrid. The Rev. Ernie Hardesty will officiate.

Burial will take place at a later date at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
