DEXTER - James Harley Sinning, 67, died July 15, 2003, at his home.

Born March 20, 1936, at Lennox, S.D., son of the late George and Henrietta Osterloo Sinning, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter and attended the First Baptist Church in Dexter. He had been a supervisor for Stites Concrete in Dexter.

On Jan. 14, 1995, in Dexter, he married Barbara Chandler who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Bob Sinning of Bartlett, Tenn.; one daughter, Debbie Flitz of Canton, S.D.; one stepson, Joe Sinning of Woodstock, Ill.; one brother, Gary Sinning of Kokomo, Ind.; two sisters, Lois Hyronimus and Mary Lou Jacobs of Worthing, S.D.; and seven grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and one great-grandson.

One sister, Jean Brantley, preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Kevin Chenoweth will officiate.

Interment will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Dyer County Memorial Gardens in Dyersburg, Tenn.
