Irene Cryts

DEXTER - Irene Cryts, 90, died Jan. 3, 2004, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center.

Born July 17, 1913, in Dexter, daughter of the late Elmer and Lillie Allard Hutson, she was a member of Liberty Hill General Baptist Church at Aid. A member of the Aid Extension Homemakers, she had been a clerk for Wal-Mart.

On Dec. 5, 1932, at Dexter, she married Fred P. Cryts who preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 1967.

Survivors include: three sons, Jerry Dean Cryts of Bernie, Billy Glen Cryts of Orwigsburg, Pa., and Larry Fred Cryts of Covington, Texas; one daughter, Doris Jean Jackson of Dexter; and 10 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Hazel Martin; and one grandson, Keith Jackson.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. Tuesday until service time at 2 p.m. at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Frank Baine will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Sadler Chapel Cemetery near Dexter.
