CANALOU - Limuel B. Thomas, 85, died at 1:46 p.m. on March 5, 2004, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Feb. 10, 1919, in Gideon, son of the late William and Emma Gardner Thomas, he was a self-employed auto mechanic and was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during World War II.

On Nov. 6, 1950, in Piggott, Ark., he married Katie Lawanda Scroggin, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Emma Adams of Canalou; one sister, Billie Samuels of Wentzville; and one granddaughter and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by one bother and two sisters.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where funeral services will be at 1 p.m. with Rev. Mike Cartwright officiating.

Burial will follow in Matthews Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Missouri Military Funeral Honors Program.
