DEXTER -- Virginia Phillips, 77, died Jan. 17, 2004, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter.

Born Sept. 13, 1926, at Burlington, Colo., daughter of the late Lee and Lydia Denton Ramsey, she was a former inspector for Elder Manufacturing Co. in Dexter and Bloomfield.

On March 9, 1947, at Piggott, Ark., she married Donald Phillips who survives of the home near Dexter.

Other survivors include: two sons, Larry Dale Phillips of Dexter and Marvin Dean Phillips of Jefferson City; two daughters, Eonnis Kay McAnulty of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Sharon Darlene Summers of Dexter; three sisters, Lorraine Melker of Littleton, Colo., Arlene Starkey of Fairview Heights, Ill., and Melba Lemmons of Dexter; and three grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Danny Lee Phillips; and one brother, Otis Ramsey.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. until time for services at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Phil Warren will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
