MATTHEWS - Mitty Thelma Heitman, 90, died at 2:30 a.m. Nov. 2, 2003, at the Sells Rest Home in Matthews.
Born March 2, 1913, in Sleeper, Mo., to the late Floyd and Bessie Bowman Jones, she was a warehouse work for Sears-Roebuck in Kansas City and worked in the nursery for the Church of God.
On May 1, 1933, in Ozark, Mo., she married Clarence Heitman, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were one daughter, Dorothy Heitman-Saylors; two brothers, Lowell Jones and Olen Jones; and one sister, Eva Jones.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Don and Carol Heitman of Matthews; one sister, Zella Slagley of Shady Cove, Wash.; and eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the Parklawn Funeral Home in Kansas City where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Burial will follow in the Parklawn Cemetery.
Blanchard Funeral Chapel was in charge of local arrangements.
