Butch Blattel
SCOTT CITY - Paul Herbert "Butch" Blattel, 84, died at 4:13 a.m. March 25, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born March 11, 1920, in Ancell, son of the late William F. and Elizabeth Mary Seyer Blattel, he owned and operated Raines-Blattel Dairy Farms. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of VFW Post 6407 in Scott City.
On Jan. 18, 1944, at Kelso, he married Vernedia Alvina Raines who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one brother, Leon Blattel of Cape Girardeau; and three sisters, Clara Stemle and Virginia Mehringer of Jasper, Ind., and Dorothy Miller of Scott City.
Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. James Seyer will officiate.
Burial will follow in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
