Bettye Wagner
BERTRAND - Bettye Lou Wagner, 84, died at 8:31 p.m. March 29, 2002, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Feb. 8, 1918, in Graves County, Ky., daughter of the late Harris and Annie Josephine Jones Spieght, she was a home maker and a member of the Cornerstone Church in Bertrand.
On Feb. 25, 1939, in Dresden, Tenn., she married B.B. "Buster" Wagner who preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 1993.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sisters.
Survivors include: one son, Daniel H. Wagner of Bertrand; two daughters, Anne J. Hale of Sikeston and Linda C. Ditto of Bertrand; three sisters, Mary Pasdidero of Orman Beach, Fla., Verna Zieglar of Hemet, Calif., and Sudie Klous of Las Vegas, Nev.; seven grandchildren, Robert Hale, Betty M. Jones, Brad Hale, Danny Wagner Jr., Scott Gibbar, Mark Gibbar and Shelley Lichty; and five great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Friends may call before the visitation at the family home at Route 1 in Bertrand. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. David Cullen, pastor of the Cornerstone Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
