John Blankenship
ADVANCE - John Blankenship, 80, formerly of Zalma, died March 29, 2002, at his home.
Born May 4, 1921, at Braggadocia, son of the late James L. and Mary K. Phillips Blankenship, he was a retired farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
On Jan. 7, 1950, at Advance, he married Edith Nash, who survives.
Other survivors include: one son, Tim Blankenship of Zalma; two daughters, LaDonna Dalton of Whitewater and Pat Baker of Advance; two brothers, Elmer Blankenship of Poplar Bluff and Jack Blankenship of Advance; one sister, Oda Mae Weller of Piedmont; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death in addition to his parents.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today at the Morgan Funeral Home in Advance where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Lee Roy Hefner officiating.
Burial will follow in the Rock Point Cemetery near Advance.
