Jeannie Smith

SIKESTON - Jeannie Thomas Smith, 85, formerly of Wyatt, died at 5:20 a.m. March 28, 2002, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.

Born Dec. 6, 1916, in Hardin County, Tenn., daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Thomas Craig, she had lived in Mississippi County most of her life and was of the Baptist belief.

She was married to Lonnie Smith who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death were: two sons, Troy Smith and Billy Conder; one daughter, Peggy Condor; one grandson, Christopher Smith; two brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are: two sons, Doye Smith of Sikeston and Danny Smith of Wyatt; one daughter, Evelyn Bradley of Wyatt; and 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. today at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston. Bill Bradley, pastor of the Morley Church of Christ, will officiate.

McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
