Howard Hutchison

DORENA - Howard L. Hutchison, 69, died at 10 a.m. March 27, 2002, at his home.

Born Feb. 11, 1933, at Wolf Island, son of the late John and Betty Stokes Hutchison, he lived all his life in Mississippi County where he was a farmer and an electrician. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was of the Baptist belief.

On Dec. 26, 1952, he marred Fern Jones who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Jana and Willie Wicker of East Prairie; three brothers, Frank Hutchison of St. Louis, Raleigh Hutchison of Peoria, Ill., and Wallace Hutchison of Clearwater, Fla.; three sisters, Lois Chambers and Mildred Chambers of Anniston and Nadine Moore of Peoria; two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Hutchison.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday with the Revs. Bill Whitener and Frank Cayson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: John Bryant, Jo Bryant, Mike Bryant, Lester Moore, Danny Marcum, Gene Hall, Ronnie Hall, Kelly Barker, Tony Geminehart, Dickie Geminehart, John Story, Paul Haney, Robert Munson and Neal Tinnon.
