J.C. Jackson

EAST PRAIRIE - J.C. Jackson, 80, died at 9:45 a.m. March 30, 2002, at his home.

Born March 1, 1922, near East Prairie, son of the late John C. and Zenoba Bryan Jackson, he had lived all of his life in Mississippi County where he owned and operated the Farm Products trucking company. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses in East Prairie and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

On Nov. 16, 1942, he married Margie Nunn who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert C. and Darnell Jackson and Stephen B. and Suzie Jackson of East Prairie; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda J. and David Williford of East Prairie; one sister, Georgia Thompson of St. Louis; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

One daughter, Nina Jones, also preceded him in death.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home with Earl Norman of Cape Girardeau officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Robert Jackson, Stephen Jackson, Jasen Jackson, Brady Jackson, Blake Jackson and David Williford.
