SIKESTON -- Connie Havener, 93, died at 2:30 a.m. Sept. 19, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born May 31, 1910, in Morrilton, Ark., daughter of the late James Madison and Rose Etta Hale Miller, she was a member of North Acres General Baptist Church and had served as a foster grandmother for the Kenny Rogers Children's Center.

In February 1928, she married Dock Bradford Havener who preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 1993.

Survivors include: one son, Gerald D. Havener of Essex, Iowa; two daughters, Alyne Maness of Richmond, Va., and Brenda Akins of House Springs; two brothers, C.C. Miller of Jonesboro, Ark., and Ferrel Miller of Sikeston; two sisters, Odessie Jones of Morley and Novella Yates of Sikeston; and 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

One son, two daughters, three brothers, one sister and one great-granddaughter also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Vergel Maness of Richmond, Va., and the Rev. Steve Tippen of North Acres General Baptist Church will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
