Lowell Summers
JACKSON - William Lowell Summers, 85, formerly of Bell City, died at 12:01 a.m. March 6, 2002, at the Monticello House.
Born July 10, 1916, in Bell City, son of the late William Oliver and Emma Winkleman Summers, he served with the U.S. Merchant Marines during World War II. He had been a barber and was an assembly line worker for General Tire Company in Detroit, Mich. A 50-year member of Lakeville Lodge 489 at Bell City, he was a 32nd degree Mason.
Four brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
Several nieces, nephews and other relatives survive.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. Friday until service time at 11 a.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Jim Barnhart, associate pastor of Miner Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Bell City Cemetery.
