Claudine Lorch

ADVANCE - Claudine M. Lorch, 81, died March 3, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born June 4, 1920, in Advance, daughter of the late Oscar and Nelle Cawthon Tippett, she was a 1937 graduate of Advance High School and taught at Swan Pond and Hickory Ridge rural schools. She was employed by the Bank of Advance for 35 years, retiring as senior vice president and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Advance.

On May 14, 1940, she married Leonard J. Lorch who preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 2001.

Survivors include: two sons, Dennis Lorch and David Lorch of Advance; three sisters, Mary Jo Murphy of Rhode Island and Wanda Jenkins of Advance and Nelline Myers of Winterhaven, Fla.; one half sister, Inez Kikal of St. Louis; and eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Also preceding her in death were two sons, Michael Lorch and Wayne Lorch; one sister; and two brothers.

Visitation is from 4:30 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Frederick Lutz officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
