Slick Williams

CHARLESTON - Denise René "Slick" Williams, 38, died Aug. 23, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born July 21, 1965, in Charleston, daughter of Earnestine Williams Anderson of Charleston and the late Booker Woods, she attended Charleston Public Schools and was a 1983 graduate of Charleston High School. She was employed by Starks Manufacturing Company in Charleston.

Survivors in addition to her mother include: one daughter, Sasha Williams of Charleston; six brothers, Kelly Ray Williams of Austin, Texas, Henry A. Williams, Kevin Anderson and Adrian Anderson of Charleston, Ricky Anderson of New Jersey and Corey Anderson of Topeka, Kan.; three sisters, Lorraine Zimmerman of Baltimore, Md., Lawanda Williams of Charleston and Claudia Clark of Sikeston; and his maternal grandparents, Lula Williams and Johnnie Lee Williams of Charleston.

Visitation is from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston. The Rev. Wiley Reed will officiate.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
