Calvin Cheatham
NICEVILLE, Fla. - Calvin Lee Cheatham, 77, died June 10, 2004, at Niceville.
Born Nov. 30, 1926, in Wyatt, Mo., son of the late Walter and Mildred Feezor Cheatham, he served with the U.S. Marine Corps and then worked for Alabama Power in Birmingham for 37 years before retiring in 1989.
On Nov. 11, 1951, in Birmingham, he married Loraine Yates who preceded him in death on July 31, 1988.
He and Janice Dorman were married in 1989 and she survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Don and Robin Cheatham of Birmingham; one daughter, Belinda Cheatham of Gardendale, Ala.; one stepdaughter and son-in-law, Delisa and Mike Josey of Crestview, Fla.; one sister, Betty Stockman of Sikeston, Mo.; three brothers, Charles Cheatham of Sikeston, Jimmy Cheatham of Hector, Ark., and Jerry Cheatham of Dresden, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Chad Howard, Christain Cheatham, Faith Cheatham, Danielle Josey and Wesley Josey; one aunt, Nellie Stallings of Charleston, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by one stepson, Daniel Dorman; one brother, Harold Cheatham; and one sister, Elizabeth Cheatham.
Memorial services were conducted Sunday at the Rocky Bayou Country Club in Niceville.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at the Moncrief Cemetery in Gardendale.
