Ann Massey

PORTAGEVILLE - Ann Tant Massey, 86, died March 13, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Jan. 21, 1916, in Wardell, daughter of the late John H. and Mary Hobson Tant, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, PEO Sisterhood and the First Baptist Church in Portageville. She and her husband owned and operated a Chevrolet-Olds auto dealership in the 1950s and she was a teacher for the Wardell School District before retiring.

Her husband, V.R. Massey, preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1960.

She is survived by one sister, Maecel Tommie Dorris of Cape Girardeau; one half brother, John Tant of Kennett; one niece, Judy Rhodes of Houston, Texas; and special friends, Sue and Junior Cline of Portageville.

Also preceding her in death were one sister, Bonnie Tant; one half sister, Kathline Tant; and one half brother, Harold Tant.

Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Friday at DeLisle Funeral Home.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Inman officiating.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
