Norma Jean Jarrell

DEXTER - Norma Jean Jarrell, 56, died May 28, 2003, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born April 4, 1947, in Marble Hill to the late Joseph A. and Nancy Kirkpatrick Rhodes, she had lived in Dexter since 1970. A homemaker, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter.

On Sept. 17, 1966, in Bell City, she married James W. Jarrell, who survives of Dexter.

Also surviving are: two sons and daughters-in-law, Melvin and Barbara Jarrell of Dexter and Jimmy and Alicia Jarrell of Bloomfield; three brothers, Elzie Rhodes, Delzie Rhodes and Kenneth Rhodes of Marble Hill; one sister, Thelma Dippold of Cape Girardeau; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Friday at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Fred Leist of Dexter and Jon Pierce of Bloomfield officiating.

Burial followed in the Hagy Cemetery.
