Benjamin Caple

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. -- Benjamin T. Caple Jr., 76, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died May 30, 2003, at a Summerville hospital.

Born Aug. 16, 1926, in Waco, Texas, son of the late Benjamin T. Caple and Etta Lawson Caple, he retired from Alcoa and was currently self-employed in building management and home inspections. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was of the Presbyterian belief.

His wife, Florence V. Caple, survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Vaughn P. Murray of Evansville, Ind.; two daughters, Elaine A. Boone of Boston, Mass., and Cynthia G. Floyd of Summerville; one brother, John W. Caple of Fort Worth, Texas; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Parks Funeral Home in Summerville where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Entombment will be held at Summerville Cemetery Mausoleum.
