Jimmie Rickman

BERNIE - Martha "Jimmie" Rickman, 87, died May 24, 2003, at the Malden Nursing Center.

Born Aug. 16, 1915, in Bernie, daughter of the late Bedford and Lora Elizabeth McNeil Tucker, she lived in Bernie most of her life. She retired from Hawley's in St. Charles, Ill., where she made speaker cones and automobile parts and was a member of the Bernie Christian Church.

On Dec. 13 1936, at Piggott, Ark., she married William Edward Rickman who preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 1945.

Also preceding her in death were one son, Johnny Rickman; one brother, John Tucker; and two sisters, Beulah Lay and Bonnie Tucker.

Survivors include: two sons, Don Rickman of Malden and Ferrell Rickman of Ivins, Utah; three daughters, Helen D. Stull of Malden, Bonnie Blanchard of St. Charles, Ill., and Edna Tindell of Bernie; and 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Willy Butler of Malden, officiating.
