Beulah Putnam
DEXTER - Beulah Adkins Putnam, 94, died June 3, 2003, at Missouri Southern Healthcare.
Born May 7, 1909, in St. John, Kan., daughter of the late William M. and Molly Stevenson Adkins, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter, 50-year member of the Missouri Extension Homemakers Association and a former member of the Golden Age Quilters.
On Feb. 7, 1930, in Poplar Bluff, she married George E. Putnam who preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 1989.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Betty and H.M. Richmond of Bloomfield; two grandchildren and their spouses, Janet and Steve Bell and Jimmy and Laura Putnam of Dexter; three stepgrandchildren and spouses, Donna and Gary Deardorff, Rebecca and Ronald Gisi and Rich Richmond of Bloomfield; and three great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were one son, James D. Putnam; four brothers, Curry Adkins, Rolland E. Adkins, Cecil Adkins and Lois Adkins; and four sisters, Lillie Peters Marjorie Aarant, Zelle Bell Adkins and Pauline Adkins.
Visitation is from 3 p.m. Friday until service time at 6 p.m. at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Vaughn Wright will officiate.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.
