CLARKTON - Scott County Central held off Clarkton's fourth-quarter rally to post a 62-61 victory in the Class 1 District 1 championship game at Clarkton.

Josh Boley led three Braves into double figures with 19 points, including five 3-pointers. Avis White added 17 points, and Isaac Porter scored 16.

Scott County Central took a 49-36 lead lead into the final period but but couldn't seal the game from the free throw line, missing nine in the final four minutes.

The Braves play Bell City on Tuesday in the Class 1 sectional game at Sikeston.

CLASS 2 DISTRICT 2

Van Buren rallied from a seven-point deficit in the final 3 minutes and 45 seconds to claim the district championship at Bloomfield.

Chris Bourque hit a pair of 3-pointers to spark the rally and his brother, John Bourque, converted off a missed shot to put the Bulldogs ahead for good in the final minute.

Advance was led by Drew Sherman's 15 points. Tyler Bowman added 13 an Daryl Wade scored 11.

CLASS 3 DISTRICT 2

Kendall Deason scored 44 points to lead the top-seeded Hawks in a 82-70 semifinal victory against East Prairie in the district tournament in Greenville.

Deason hit two of his six 3-pointers in the final period, as the Hawks rallied from a two-point deficit and outscored East Prairie 29-15. Deason was 12 of 14 from the free-throw line, including nine-for-10 in the fourth quarter.

Kelly's Michael Glastetter finished with 14 points, and Kent Deason added 12 points, seven in the final period.

Kelly takes on Charleston at 8 p.m. Saturday.

The second-seeded Bluejays eliminated Scott City 78-59 on Thursday.

Shawn Sherrell scored 20 points to lead Charleston. Mark Dannenmueller led Scott City (16-11) with 21 points. Mark Johnston added 13 points, and Daniel Jackson scored 11.
