Allie Tate

GIDEON - Allie Jowers Tate, 86, died May 1, 2003, at the Gideon Care Center.

Born Jan. 14, 1917, in Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Agnes Mooney Jowers.

On Feb. 11, 1939, in Portageville, she married Thomas Albert Tate who preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1974.

Survivors include: one stepson, Chester Graham of Clarkton; one stepdaughter, Mary Sebourn of Sikeston; and two nieces, Peggy Turnage of Hayti and Wanda Malony of Indianola, Miss.

One son, Bobby Gene Tate, also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from noon to 2 p.m. today at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Mike Melton will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
