SIKESTON - Wanda "Doodie" Hamlin, 69, died at 9:45 a.m. May 27, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 10, 1934, in LaValle to the late Thomas J. Hamlin and Opal Lee Smith Hamlin Maack and was a member of the Vanduser Baptist Church.

She is survived by one sister, Fay Hart of Sikeston. Other survivors include: two aunts, Ruth Evans of Oran and Willie Hamlin of Brookings, Fla.; and by two aunts and uncles, Sarah and Dale Smith of Rector, Ark., and Louise and Jim Wilson of Okeechobee, Fla. A number of cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents; by one brother, Jimmie Hamlin; and one sister, Joan Allender.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Glenn Rogers, pastor of the Vanduser Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens at Morley.
