BERTRAND - Ruby Mae Sharp, 62, died May 25, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Nov. 19, 1940, in Charleston, daughter of the late Joseph and Georgia Smith Taylor, she was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Charleston, where she was secretary and a member of the senior choir.
On May 28, 1957, she married Alford D. Sharp who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Alford D. Sharp Jr. of Sikeston; two daughters, Barbara Sharp and Anita Faye Kirkwood of Bertrand; two brothers, Joseph Taylor of Chicago, Ill., and Valrick Taylor of New Orleans, La.; three sisters, Pearl Dockery of Chicago, Bonnie Smith of Milwaukee, Wis., and Rose King of Michigan; 19 grandchildren, including three whom she raised, Angela Sharp, Jason Sharp and Travis Sharp; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from noon Friday until service time at 1 p.m. at Mercy Seat Baptist Church in Charleston. The Rev. J.L. Posey, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
