Cora Barrett

CHAFFEE -- Cora Christine Barrett, 80, died at 4:45 p.m. May 26, 2003, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.

Born Jan. 6, 1923, in Painton, daughter of the late Ben and Lottie St. Cin Elfrank, she was a member of the General Baptist Church in Chaffee.

On March 15, 1941, at Bell City, she married Cecil Raymond Barrett who preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 1988.

Survivors include: one son, Ken Barrett of Gordonville; two brothers, Clyde Elfrank of Chaffee and Fred Elfrank of Johnston City, Ill.; two sisters, Dora Neeley of Vienna, Ill., and Kathleen Lagrand of Chaffee; two grandchildren, Aaron Barrett of Park Hills and Allyson Morgan of Cape Girardeau; and six great-grandchildren, Bailey Barrett and Cody Barrett of Marble Hill, Taylor Barrett and Collin Barrett of Park Hills and Rachael Morgan and Zach Morgan of Cape Girardeau.

Two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Vyron Yount will officiate.

Burial will follow in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
