Clint Davis

DEXTER - Clint Davis, 96, died May 22, 2003, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center.

Born March 6, 1907, in Reynoldsville, Ill., son of the late William Walter and Alice Stokes Davis, he was of the Baptist belief. He had been employed by the General Box Co. in Detroit, Mich.

On Sept. 3 1949, in Detroit, he married Stephanie Stella Zawacki who survives of the home in Dexter.

Other survivors include: three sons, Roger Davis of Oquawka, Ill., Dexter "Buck" Davis of Canton, Mich., and Wesley Davis of Brighton, Mich.; and 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jeff Davis and Gus Davis; and one sister, Lela Bennett.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Clifford Wray will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Sadler Chapel Cemetery in Dexter.
