Elizabeth Strickland

KELSO - Elizabeth Harbour Strickland, 64, died at 6:03 a.m. May 22, 2003, at her home.

Born Dec. 4, 1938, in Jackson, Miss., daughter of the late James Kirk and Annie May Presley Slawson, she was a member of the Commerce Baptist Church.

On May 8, 1960, in Jackson, Miss., she married Jesse Eugene Strickland who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Shannon Strickland of Delta and Kirk Strickland of Jackson, Mo.; one daughter, Dawn Holder of Scott City; three brothers, J.K. Slawson and Fred Slawson of Jackson, Miss., and Johnny Slawson of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Edna Breax of LaPlace, La., and Jewell Bay of Jackson, Miss.; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. David Thompson will officiate.

Burial will follow in Lightner Memorial Cemetery at Scott City.
