SCOTT CITY - Margaret Bridgett Holder, 88, died at 9:15 a.m. April 29, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Born June 8, 1914, in East St. Louis, Ill., daughter of the late Sidney Fost and Rose Phillips Johnston, she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. SCOTT CITY - Margaret Bridgett Holder, 88, died at 9:15 a.m. April 29, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born June 8, 1914, in East St. Louis, Ill., daughter of the late Sidney Fost and Rose Phillips Johnston, she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a volunteer with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program for 20 years.

On Dec. 13, 1933, at Fornfelt, she married Ardell Anthony Holder who preceded her in death on June 30, 1963.

Survivors include: one son, Billy Holder of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Dora "Sis" Enderle of Scott City; one sister, Dorothy Schaffner of Belleville, Ill.; and seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, 16 brothers, three sisters and one grandchild.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where Knights of Columbus prayers will be said at 6:30 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. David Coon officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
