Robert Gaede
DEXTER - Robert A. Gaede, 78, died April 29, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born March 24, 1925, in Summer, Iowa, son of the late August A. and Marian Vanauken Gaede, he was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Dexter. A retired shipping foreman for Purolator Products in Dexter, he served with the U.S. Army in World War II and was a member of the American Legion.
On June 17, 1956, in Dexter, he married Willa Mae Cloud who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, David Robert Gaede of Springfield and Daniel Alan Gaede of Olathe, Kan.; two brothers, Don Gaede of Sandstone, Minn., and Ralph Gaede of Marion, Iowa; and four grandchildren.
One brother, James Gaede, preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Adam Mueller and the Rev. Wayne Koenig will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
