Artlee Waters

PARMA - Artlee Waters, 74, died Oct. 3, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born March 16, 1928, in Texarkana, Ark., son of the late Fred Waters and Lillie Leona Michaels Bass, he was a bus driver for the Head Start program for 10 years and had also worked in the farming industry before retiring.

On Feb. 14, 1958, at Kennett, he married Margaret Carrie Lattimore who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: eight sons, Freddie Williamson, Artlee Waters Jr., Leroy Waters, Robert Waters and Ray Waters of Parma, John Waters and Larry Waters of St. Louis and Kenneth Waters of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Sylvia Waters of Sikeston; two sisters, Idabelle Mansfield and Earthamae Williams of Kansas City; and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Leroy Waters.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. Wednesday until service time at noon at the Parma Community Center.

Burial will follow in the Simmons Burial Park.
