DUDLEY - Betty Jean Kerley, 53, died at 8:02 a.m. Sept. 30, 2004, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 12, 1951, in Sikeston, daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Howard Ross, she was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church at Rock Hill.
On June 6, 1981, at Parma, she married Charles L. Kerley who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Billy McGehee of Ellsinore; three daughters, Eva McCoy of Dexter and Charla Abernathy and Sue Kerley of Dudley; three stepsons, Eddie Kerley of Dudley, Wayne Kerley of Illinois and John Kerley of Ellington; one stepdaughter, June Ann Kerley of Ellington; one brother, Charlie Ross of Malden; five sisters, Ruby Taylor of Fulton, Carolyn Holyfield of Bell City, Jewell Tankersley of Campbell, Margaret Jenkins of Indianola, Miss., and Linda McClain of Malden; and 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were one stepson, Larry Kerley; and five brothers and two sisters.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Don Adams, pastor of Providence Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Matthews Cemetery at Matthews.
