ONSLOW BEACH, N.C. - Brooke Michelle Nelson became the bride of U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. James B. Hurlburt Jr. in an Oct. 5, 2002, ceremony at Onslow Beach, Camp Lejeune, N.C. Tony Maitilasso performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael C. Nelson of Sikeston and her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James B. Hurlburt Sr. of Otego, N.Y.
The bride wore a white knee-length wedding dress which featured lace overlay, a square neckline and capped sleeves. She wore a pearl necklace and pearl and diamond earrings and carried a bouquet of white and pink roses.
Megan Leigh Nelson of Sikeston attended her sister as maid of honor.
Jesse Alan Hurlburt of Otego served his brother as best man.
A wedding reception was held at the Onslow Beach Lodge where Shyloe Cummings of Otego, cousin of the bridegroom, served guests.
Mrs. Hurlburt is employed by the Marine Corps Community Services at Camp Lejeune.
