Lois Lee

ADVANCE - Lois Lee, 89, died Nov. 15, 2002, at the Advance Nursing Center.

Born Sept. 17, 1913, at McGee, daughter of the late Noah and Elvira Whitner Shell, she was a member of the Sturdivant General Baptist Church.

On Jan. 31, 1949, in Advance, she married Jess Lee who preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 1973.

Survivors include: one son, Dennis Wayne Lee of Dexter; two daughters, Irene Payton of Dexter and Lorene Lee of Advance; one brother, Lester Shell of Dexter; one sister, Letty Bess of Advance; and 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Two brothers also preceded her in death.

Services were conducted at 10 a.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home with the Revs. Cotus James and Kenneth Biggs officiating.

Burial followed in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
