Stanley Kennedy

POPLAR BLUFF - Stanley E. Kennedy, 72, formerly of Sikeston and Paducah, Ky., died April 23, 2002, at the Westwood Hills Healthcare Center in Poplar Bluff.

Born Sept. 25, 1929, in Arkansas, he was a carpenter and served with the U.S. Air Force veteran during the Korean War. He was of the Baptist belief.

His wife, Lera Jane Kennedy, survives of West Paducah.

Other survivors include: three sons, Billy Kennedy and David Kennedy of West Paducah and William Hancock of Paducah; two daughters, Janice Davis of Paducah and Patricia McDonald of Oklahoma; one stepdaughter, Brenda Tidwell of Paducah; and seven grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside military rites and services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston with the Rev. James Schremp officiating.

Cotrell Funeral Home of Poplar Bluff is in charge of arrangements.
