The Sikeston Area Chamber of Commerce would like to congratulate our Farm Family winners: The Bobby Barnes Family from Stoddard County, the Joe Priggel Family from New Madrid County, the Don McCann Family from Mississippi County and the Donnie Beggs family from Scott County. We also want to congratulate Karen Dawson, Farm Woman of the Year; Darrell and Keith Crow, winners of the Diverse Marketing Award presented by Cargill AgHorizons, Bill Green of Bill Green Equipment, the Agribusiness Service Award recipient; and Joshua Nowell for receiving the Sikeston Jaycees Outstanding Young Farmer Award.
The 34th Annual Farmers Recognition Banquet was an evening of fun and celebration for our agricultural community. A big thank you to the Chamber's Agribusiness Committee which worked so hard to put this event on.
Our Images Magazine sales representative, Joe Thomas, will be here a few more weeks wrapping up orders for ad space in our fourth annual issue due out in April 2005. The magazine is used for tourism, relocation information and economic development. Thanks to those businesses who have already purchased their ads. The magazine is available to us because of your support.
Last, but not least, the staff at the Sikeston Area Chamber of Commerce, Judy Morrow, Kathy Medley and myself, Missy Marshall, would like to thank all our members for their continued support of this 75-year-old organization. It is our pleasure to work for our members and the Sikeston and Miner areas. We are looking forward to an exciting 2005 with the Sikeston and Miner areas seeing continued growth residentially and economically.
We would like to wish everyone a blessed holiday season and for information about community holiday events, contact SACC at 573-471-2498 or go to our Website at www.sikeston.net.
