Dora Causey

ESSEX - Dora Lee Lawrence Causey, 75, died March 10, 2002, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.

Born Sept. 5, 1926, in Poplar Bluff, daughter of the late Leo E. and Nellie Huber Lawrence, she lived in Essex most of her life where she attended the Church of Christ.

On Jan. 13, 1945, in Piggott, Ark., she married William Marvin Causey who preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 1996.

She was also preceded in death by six brothers, George Wayne Lawrence, Charles Oliver Lawrence, Clyde Leo Lawrence, Albert Burnett Lawrence, James Russell Lawrence and Elmer Paul Lawrence; and two sisters, Carma Lucille Gaines and Oleta Colleen Thurston.

Survivors include: two daughters, Glynda McNair of Mountain Home, Ark., and Nola Thomason of Bernie; two sisters, Garnett Shirley Hannen of Forest Grove, Ore., and Edith Ellen Cooley of Mount Dora, Fla.; and one granddaughter, Leslie McNair Dewey of Cotterville, Ark.

Visitation will take place from noon Wednesday until service time at 2 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Herman Morse of Dexter will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Essex Cemetery.
