Stella Connor

DEXTER - Stella Mae Connor, formerly of Essex and Parma, died April 10, 2002, at the Missouri Southern Health Care Hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Charles and Elsie Brown Downen and had lived in Dexter for the past four years.

In 1927, in Leachvile, Ark., she married William Raymond Connor who preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 1978.

Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn K. and David A. Dierks of Kansas City; one brother, William Jay Downen of Bloomfield; and one grandson.

Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Wayne Dismuke officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.
