SIKESTON - Lillian "Feedie" Ancell Braden, 72, formerly of Orange, Calif. died at 6:05 p.m. Dec. 13, 2004, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born Sept. 17, 1932, in Sikeston, daughter of the late Lynn Ancell and Edith Jeanette Carter Ancell Ford, she was registrar for the Orange (Calif.) Unified School District. She earned a bachelor of science degree in journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia and was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Daughters of the American Revolution in Sikeston.
On Nov. 20, 1954, at Chicago, she married Laurence P. Braden who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Ellen Lynne and Billy Burroughs of Reno, Nev., and Leslie Anne and Dan Thomas of Houston, Texas; one stepsister, Sandy Kilgore of Palm Harbor, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Stephen Schroder and Matthew Schroder of Reno and Erin "Gizzy" Thomas of Houston.
Visitation is from 6:30 p.m. today until time for a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. William F. "Bill" Koch, pastor, and the Revs. Jonathan Cooney and Harold Norton will officiate.
Blanchard Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
