Thomas Dixon
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Thomas Henry Dixon, 52, died April 7, 2002, at the Lockefield Village Nursing Center.
Born Aug. 14, 1949, in Charleston, Mo., son of the late John D. and Ella Mae Wilson Strayhorn, he graduated from East Prairie (Mo.) High School and was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include: five son, Terrance Spillers of Carbondale, Ill., Thomas Lavelle Ware of Charleston, Thomas "T-Lee" Spillers of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Thomas Henry Dixon Jr. and Jordan Dixon of Indianapolis; two daughters, Roshanda Nowlin of Aurora, Ill., and Alicia Dixon of Indianapolis; seven brothers, William Dixon of Kansas City, Kan., Robert Earl Dixon of Murphysboro, Ill., Roy Chester Dixon of Kansas City, Mo., Donald Eugene Dixon of Carbondale and Oliver Dixon, Joseph Dixon and Benny Lee Strayhorn of Jefferson City, Mo.; two sisters, Gloria Dixon of Murphysboro and Deloris Bulliner of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and his grandmothers, Louise Strayhorn of Pinhook, Mo., and Beatrice Wilson of Kansas City, Mo.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. Saturday until service time at noon at Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo. Bishop Paul Jones will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
