Ida Holmes
ASHLAND - Ida Mae Holmes, 83, died April 6, 2002, at the Ashland Health Care Center.
Born Aug. 29, 1918, in Waggoner, Okla., daughter of the late Joseph and Lottie May Lewis Bagby, she was a retired licensed practical nurse. She was a member of American Legion Post 0059 Auxiliary in Dexter and Ashland Chapter 309 Order of the Eastern Star.
On Oct. 29, 1929, she married Thurston Holmes who preceded her in death on May 20, 1969.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Margot Holmes of Sikeston; one daughter, Sharon Easter of Hartsburg; one grandson, Richard Brandon Easter; four stepgrandchildren, Larry Eby, Debbie Carlisle, Judy Turner and Karen Eby; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Burial followed in the Senath Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Jamie Holmes, Brandon Easter, Keenan Carlisle and Larry Eby.
