Albert Masters

MOSCOW MILLS - Albert H. Masters, 84, formerly of East Prairie, died at 5:46 p.m. April 8, 2002, at Lincoln County Memorial Hospital in Troy.

Born July 6, 1917, in Advance, son of the late William and Martha Park Masters, he had lived in Moscow Mills for the past 32 years and was a retired carpenter. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

On May 29, 1937, in Charleston, he married Dorothy Pritchett who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Albert L. Masters of Coral Springs, Fla.; two daughters, Marlynn Joyce Byrd of Moscow Mills and Glenda Faye Laramie of St. Peters; five grandchildren, Albert E. Byrd of Troy, Michelle Poat of Washington, Mo., and Alan Masters, Peri Masters and Jolie Masters of Coral Springs; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Friday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday with Verlon Pritchett officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
