Earl Nation
WHITEWATER - Earl Stanley Nation, 71, died at 7:15 p.m. April 7, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Feb. 23, 1931, at Illmo, son of the late John Louis and Lilly Florence Blankenship Nation, he was a cutter for Thorngate before retiring and had served with the National Guard from 1950-51.
On June 9, 1951, at Fornfelt, he married Corena Evelyn Bucher who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Steven Nation of Jackson; two daughters, Joyce Wiseman of Pine Bluff, Ark. and Mary Sue Dannenmueller of Montgomery, Ala.; five brothers, Paul Nation of Scott City, Gene Nation, Richard Nation and John Nation of Chaffee and Carlos Nation of Sikeston; two sisters, Lois Faegan of Sikeston and Judy Enderle of Chaffee; and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
One brother and two sisters also preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Rennie Phillips will officiate.
Burial will follow in Lightner Memorial Cemetery at Scott City.
