Curtis Cantrell

PUXICO - Curtis C. Cantrell, 82, died April 6, 2002, at the Puxico Nursing Center.

Born Sept. 14, 1919, in Leora, son of the late Robert and Lettie Malone Cantrell, he lived in California for 19 years before returning to Puxico in 1964. He was a retired carpenter and member of the Puxico General Baptist Church.

On April 28, 1946, at Piggott, Ark., he married Reva Wilfong, who survives, of Puxico.

One son, Curtis Ray Cantrell, preceded him in death.

Survivors in addition to his wife include: two grandchildren, Richard Cantrell and Tonya Martinez of St. Louis; four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Fred Cantrell of Kinder and J.D. Cantrell of Jackson; and three sisters, Daisy Lynch of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Kathyrn Earls of Michigan and Patsy Lynch of Kinder.

Visitation begins at 6 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Kenneth Lambert of Bloomfield will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery near Puxico.
