Willie Fowler

NEW MADRID - Willie B. Fowler, 89, died April 3, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born June 3, 1912, in Lawrence County, Tenn., son of the late Will and Emma Walters Fowler, he was a farmer and member of Kewanee Missionary Baptist Church.

On Sept. 6, 1936, he married Bessie Barbre who preceded him in death in 1984.

He later married Alice Turk who survives of Sikeston.

Other survivors include: one son, Ray Fowler of LaForge; one daughter, Joanne Sisson of Portageville; one sister, Pearl Fowler Wilson of New Madrid; and four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Five brothers and one sister also preceded him in death.

Graveside services were conducted at 1 p.m. today at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston with the Rev. Tom McCanless officiating.

Richards Funeral Home of New Madrid was in charge of arrangements.
