Raymond McClain
BERNIE - Raymond Eugene McClain, 72, died June 24, 2002, at his home.
Born Jan. 23, 1930, at Tyronza, Ark., son of the late Foster and Lillie McGowen McClain, he retired as a repairman for the General Motors plant in St. Louis. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of the American Legion at Qulin.
On May 24, 1957, in St. Louis, he married Ruby Rines who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Randy Nickenson of Muskegon, Mich.; three daughters, Janice Craft of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Barbara Winkle of Wyoming and Karen McClain of Redding, Calif.; one brother, Allen McClain of Fisk; two sisters, Marie Nance of Pocahontas, Ill., and Lois Gilliam of Evansville, Ind.; and 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
One brother preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Donald Morgan will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Brown Chapel Cemetery at Broseley.
