Stevan Hicks Sr.

DEXTER - Stevan Dale Hicks Sr., 44, died June 24, 2002, at Missouri Southern Healthcare.

Born Nov. 24, 1957, in Bloomfield, son of Clifford and Mary George Hicks of Essex, he lived in Essex for many years before moving to Dexter two years ago and was a member of Clines Island General Baptist Church near Essex. He worked in the lasting department at Missouri Industries and at Hudson Foods.

On July 2, 1987, in Malden, he married Jane Carman Dunnam who survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to his wife and parents include: two sons, Stevan Dale Hicks Jr. of Bernie and Daniel Wayne Hicks of Doniphan; one daughter, Mary Jean Zimmerman of Malden; two brothers, Gary D. Hicks of Woodward, Okla., and Terry A. Hicks of Essex; four sisters, Peggy G. Hicks of Poplar Bluff, Teresa E. Lambert of Bloomfield, Kathy Robinson of Lawrence, Kan., and Donna A. Bryant of Dexter; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Joe Williams of Malden will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Dexter.
