Agnes Hurte

NEW MADRID - Agnes Gertrude Hurte, 97, died June 24, 2002, at the Beverly Healthcare in New Madrid.

Born July 17, 1905, in Portageville, she was the daughter of the late Charles P. and Ida Belle Reeves Cook.

On Nov. 24, 1923, at Gideon, she married Oscar Reynold Hurte who preceded her in death in April 1962.

Survivors include: two sons, Robert A. Hurte of Hornersville and Thomas A. Hurte of Lilbourn; and 12 grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by five sons, Ed Hurte, Jerry Hurte, John Hurte, Archie Hurte and Harry Hurte.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. Wednesday until service time at 2 p.m. at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville. The Rev. Eugene Poole will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
